Disciplinary Regulations for International Students in the Prevention and Control of COVID-19

To tackle the global epidemic outbreak, strengthen the on-campus prevention and control of COVID-19, and ensure public safety and the health of students and faculty and staff members, the following disciplinary measures are hereby formulated for international students in accordance with Law of the People's Republic of China on the Prevention and Treatment of Infectious Diseases, Regulation on the Urgent Handling of Public Health Emergencies, and Interpretation on the Specific Application of Laws in Handling Criminal Cases of Impeding the Prevention and Control Work of Sudden Infectious Diseases and Other Disasters, as well as Provisions of Management for Recruiting and Educating International Students and Regulations on Discipline Violation for Students of Yangzhou University.

1. All international students shall not return to China from abroad or to campus before receiving the official back-to-school notification. Those who return without official approval, conceal, delay reporting or misrepresent the information requested (e.g., personal health status, current location or detailed travel records) will be regarded as violations on epidemic prevention and control and be subject to severe punishment according to regulations of the University. Serious case can result in Expulsion from School.

2. Students who deliberately disturb public order by spreading rumor or false information about the epidemic, or take media interviews without permission from the University and bring negative consequences, shall be given Disciplinary Probation or more severe punishment.

3. Students of the following misconduct will receive a Written Admonishment:

Students who fail to make timely login to the Campus Today App (pinyin: Jin Ri Xiao Yuan) after notification from the college or fail to complete the Daily Health Report via this App 3 times;

② On-campus students who violate regulations of closed-off management such as unauthorized entry and exit, accommodation of other people, gathering or frequent visit to others’ rooms; 

Students in China or on campus who refuse to cooperate with the local departments of epidemic prevention and control or breach the regulations of self-quarantine at home or centralized quarantine;

Students who refuse to comply with requirements of the University in the prevention and control of COVID-19.

4. Those who receive one Written Admonishment will be disqualified for any scholarship or honor in the next academic year, and repeated offenders will be given Disciplinary Warning or more severe punishment. 

5. Scholarship students who violate the aforementioned items are subject to punishment according to the regulations on scholarship management.
